Uncertain Magic by Laura Kinsale (4 star ratings)
The things that Faelan is accused of and whispered about also creates great tension. I cannot decide if she subconsciously refuses so that she can take a chance on marriage, if Faelan has built walls in his mind to keep out those with a similar gift as he grew up knowing magc, or if something else entirely is the cause of the block.

Kinsale’s backlist so that new readers can enjoy her unique characters and settings. It was very dramatic and Faelan goes into a tailspin when he can’t find her. She is kind, patient, brave, and when she loves, she loves without a doubt, without holding something back and giving all she have.
It was very dramatic and Faelan goes into a tailspin when he can’t find her. Loving it – one of my faves in print and even better with Nick Boulton’s telling. I’d kill you this moment if I knew a way. The main characters are unique. They end up getting married out of convenience, and the sex scenes are numerous and steamy. Uncertain Magic is a lovely historical romance — full of ups and downs, excitement and romance. Ho voluto leggere questo libro dopo il magnifico “la figlia del matematico” sperando di trovare un altro capolavoro della bravissima Kinsale, purtroppo di magico ho trovato solo i poteri sensitivi della protagonista.
Or that Roddy is safe with Faelan.
Paperbackpages. The phrases “her gift” and “her talent” were deployed way too often.
Somehow she sees the good in the Devil Earl and uncedtain able to draw out his better nature. And that’s the problem. So she gave all that up to sit in a chair and stare into space for long periods of time, attempting to figure out What-Happens-Next. There’s a Tam Lin -twist towards the end, and I thought the reason that Roddy could never read Faelan’s mind which is never explicitly stated, kinsals implied was very, very clever.
Some I even loved. I loved the description of land.

Book Review: Uncertain Magic by Laura Kinsale
Roddy knew if Geoffrey had ever found out what she could do it would ruin their relationship. The best way to find various formats for my latest ebooks is to check my page on eReads. Roddy has the ability lauraa hear the thoughts of both animals and people, and tells Faelan one of his horses will not survive a race.
After pages of nothing and then the last 50 is bam bam bam with stuff, it brought an already mediocre book even lower. Published March mgaic by Avon first published I found it interesting that it felt like a book that was written decades ago, not because it seems dated, but because the plot is much more expansive than romance novels that are currently being published.
When Roddy meets Faelen Savigar she is stunned, not by the fact that he is exceedingly handsome in a devilish way, but because she can not hear his thoughts. Rather the story revolves around the kinszle heroine’s struggles to understand her husband’s “madness” and troubled history while dealing with the complications of her own unusual abilities to read the thoughts of others.
Her characters and plot are rarely cliche. Mwgic gift was a little hit and miss for me, she could “hear” things in other people’s thoughts and emotions, but not everything including some plot convenient thingsso I never got a good feel for exactly how her gift worked. This, she decided, was pushing her luck. What ucertain narcissist she was. It makes for a really jarring transition.
